GTA VI Anticipated Price: Gamers Predict and Bet

The official price for Grand Theft Auto VI has not yet been revealed, but gamers are actively speculating and placing bets on its cost. Fewer and fewer people believe the release will remain within the standard $70 price range.

According to data from prediction markets on Kalshi.com, most participants anticipate a higher price, most frequently citing the $80 mark. One survey indicated that 61% of respondents believe the game will cost more than $70. Approximately 29% predict a price of $80, and a small percentage even allows for a range of $90–100.

Market sentiments have shifted over time. While predictions of an $80 price initially dominated, average expectations had somewhat decreased to $70–75 by 2026. This highlights the ongoing uncertainty surrounding one of the most anticipated game releases.

Statements from the head of Take-Two, Rockstar Games’ parent company, have also fueled speculation. He hinted that games priced at $70–80 should not contain aggressive advertising. Many interpreted this as an indirect indication of GTA VI’s potential price range. If Rockstar sets the price at $80, it could become a landmark event, paving the way for a new pricing standard across the entire AAA gaming industry.
