French publisher NACON has announced its intention to sell its Spiders studio, renowned for developing RPGs such as GreedFall and Steelrising. This move is part of extensive measures to overcome the severe financial crisis the company is facing, as it currently operates under judicial administration.
According to reports, NACON is actively seeking a buyer for Spiders, with applications being accepted until April 14, 2026. The sale of the studio is considered a critically important step to stabilize the publisher’s financial situation.
If a suitable investor cannot be found by the specified deadline, the future of Spiders studio, which has developed several successful and critically acclaimed RPG franchises, could be jeopardized.
NACON’s financial difficulties are not limited to Spiders. Other internal studios under the publisher, including Kylotonn and Cyanide, have also initiated restructuring procedures. NACON is taking all possible steps, including divesting assets, to avoid complete bankruptcy and remain operational in the market.
