Players will soon have the chance to dive into a charming new game reminiscent of Animal Crossing.
HoYoverse (formerly miHoYo), the acclaimed developers behind the global phenomenon Genshin Impact, recently announced that applications are now open for the upcoming playtest of their latest title, Petit Planet.
This highly anticipated game promises a cozy and engaging experience, drawing inspiration from beloved life-simulation franchises like Animal Crossing. In Petit Planet, players will assume the role of “planet guardians,” tasked with nurturing and developing their own unique world. The gameplay will involve a variety of activities, from cultivating resources and customizing environments to interacting with delightful neighbors and fostering a vibrant community.
Those interested in participating in the Petit Planet playtest can register their interest. Successful applicants are promised an exclusive in-game reward upon the game’s official release.
The current round of Petit Planet playtesting is scheduled to commence on April 21, 2026.
