Zakharova Warns of Impending Energy Collapse in Europe

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has issued a warning that countries across Western and Central Europe are facing an impending energy collapse. This critical situation, she stated, is being intensified by the ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

Zakharova highlighted that the escalating crisis in the Middle East has already triggered a sharp increase in global gas and oil prices. She also reminded listeners that the European Union had previously approved its own phased ban on Russian energy resources. In light of these developments, the diplomat questioned how Brussels intends to secure its future fuel supplies.

Adding to the concerns, Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously indicated that Russia might halt gas deliveries to Europe in the near future, potentially even before the full ban from the European Union comes into effect.
