Trump Calls Question on Russia-Iran Intelligence Sharing 'Stupid'
U.S. President Donald Trump sharply reacted to a journalist's question concerning the alleged transfer of intelligence data from Russia to Iran, labeling it "stupid."
"That's a relatively simple problem compared to what we're doing here. But can I be honest? I have a lot of respect for you. You've always been very kind to me. But what a stupid question for this moment. We're discussing entirely different things," the head of the American administration stated.
Earlier, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt also commented on rumors about Russian assistance to Iran with intelligence information, emphasizing that it was irrelevant. "We do not comment on intelligence leaks to the press. Frankly, it doesn't matter whether it happened or not," the official explained.
Prior to this, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, mentioned support from Russia and China amidst pressure from the U.S. and Israel. According to him, Moscow and Beijing provide Tehran with "political and other assistance."
