Luthier Board Game Prepares for Pre-Order in Russia: The Magic of Instruments in 18th Century Europe
Fans of board games and classical music in Russia will soon be able to immerse themselves in the world of "Luthier" – a captivating game transporting them to 18th-century Europe. Here, they will embark on a journey to create exquisite musical instruments, win the esteemed patronage of the nobility, and earn the adoration of the public.
Choo Choo Games has officially announced the upcoming pre-order phase for the highly anticipated board game "Luthier." Designed for 1–4 players, this project achieved remarkable success on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, raising over $790,000 and becoming a significant crowdfunding hit.
Players will step into the shoes of influential 18th-century families, each striving to leave their indelible mark on musical history. Their objective is to secure the crucial support of esteemed patrons and ultimately win the hearts of listeners with their musical prowess.
The gameplay of "Luthier" is intricately built around a worker placement mechanic, further enhanced by elements of hidden bidding. Through strategic actions and clever decision-making, players will vie to accumulate as many victory points as possible.
To succeed, players will explore elegant salons and bustling workshops in pursuit of rare instrument blueprints and influential new patrons. They will dedicate themselves to crafting musical masterpieces on their personal player boards, compete for influence over performers in the orchestral pit, and ultimately receive grand acclaim for their virtuoso performances on stage.
During the pre-order period, a deluxe version of "Luthier" will be available for purchase at a price of 8690 rubles. All participants who pre-order will receive an exclusive Kickstarter promo pack, featuring 11 unique patron and instrument cards. The game is currently expected to arrive at the warehouse in November 2026.
Choo Choo Games is also actively working to potentially offer additional accessories, which were previously available separately on Kickstarter, as part of the upcoming pre-order campaign.
