CD Projekt Co-Founders Linked to Death in Shamanic Rituals Case

Polish prosecutors have reopened an investigation into the mysterious death of a 54-year-old Polish citizen in the Czech Republic in 2018. The woman's body was found on a farm suspected of hosting illegal shamanic ceremonies involving the psychedelic drink ayahuasca. The case documents mention the names of Michał Kiciński and Marcin Iwiński, co-founders of the renowned company CD Projekt.

Investigators suggest that the tragedy may be linked to one of these ceremonies, where participants were given a mind-altering drink derived from Amazonian plants, containing substances prohibited in many European countries.

It has been established that Michał Kiciński, a co-founder of CD Projekt and former head of CD Projekt RED (creators of The Witcher series), was a co-owner of the farm where the rituals took place. These ceremonies were reportedly organized by an individual known as "Badi" and another person identified as shaman Jarosław Kordysa. According to a journalistic investigation, Kiciński visited these ceremonies and maintained contact with their organizers.

The name of the second CD Projekt co-founder, Marcin Iwiński, also appears in the investigation. During the same period, he acquired property in the nearby Czech town of Nýdek, where, according to investigators, similar rituals might have been conducted.

Iwiński stated to investigators that he merely allowed acquaintances to use his house temporarily during his absence and was unaware of any ceremonies taking place, emphasizing his non-involvement in their organization.

The death occurred in 2018, but the initial investigation did not lead to definitive conclusions. Several years later, Polish law enforcement authorities received new information and decided to revisit the case. Investigators are now seeking to reconstruct the events of that night and determine any potential connection between the property owners and the ceremony organizers.
