Bloober Team Not Developing Layers of Fear 3 In-House; Studio's Cronos Team Works on Ambitious New IP
It has been confirmed that Bloober Team is not internally developing the next installment in the Layers of Fear series, often referred to as Layers of Fear 3. While Bloober Team remains the franchise owner and actively participates in its production, an external partner studio is handling the primary development. Although the partner's name hasn't been officially disclosed, speculation points to Anshar Studios, a Polish developer known for previous collaborations with Bloober Team on the Layers of Fear collection.
Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, revealed that the studio's two main internal teams are currently engaged in significant projects. One team is focused on the previously announced Silent Hill remake for Konami, following the successful release of the Silent Hill 2 Remake.
The second major undertaking is an original new game, currently in pre-production, codenamed "Project H." This title is being developed by the same team responsible for last year's horror game, Cronos: The New Dawn. Babieno emphasized that Project H is poised to be the most ambitious project in the studio's history, boasting the largest commercial potential, yet its budget will not exceed that of Cronos.
