ARC Raiders Developers Detail Streamlined Crafting and Promise Further Improvements
Following the Flashpoint update in ARC Raiders, the crafting system has undergone significant simplification. A new "Acquire Resources" button has been introduced, providing players with a straightforward overview of all available methods for obtaining necessary materials.
Embark Studios clarified the rationale behind this decision, stating:
Many of you pointed out that gathering missing crafting materials required more effort than it should. While you already knew where to acquire them – either by recycling items or purchasing from Celeste – navigating multiple screens posed a significant issue. This created unnecessary friction and detracted from the game's enjoyment.
The revamped system now exclusively utilizes readily available resources, thereby reducing the time players spend navigating various menus and their inventory. The studio acknowledges that while this change "doesn't fix everything," they are "already considering the next steps" for further improvements.
Our team will continue to systematically address such issues, and you will see more changes soon.
Furthermore, the developers have also announced that they are actively working on "several maps" of varying scales, which are slated for release in 2026.
