The popular ‘Sentenced to Be a Hero’ franchise is officially set to receive a new video game adaptation.

Kadokawa recently initiated the marketing campaign for the upcoming title, Yuusha-kei ni Shosu Game of the GODDESS (also known as Sentenced to Be a Hero Game of the GODDESS), by releasing its first teaser.

The teaser provided a glimpse of two key characters: Xylo Forbarz and Theoritta.

Development for Yuusha-kei ni Shosu Game of the GODDESS is being handled by Vic Game Studios. This studio is recognized for its previous work on mobile titles such as Black Clover Mobile: The Opening of Fate and Limit Zero Breakers.

For those unfamiliar with the original anime, the narrative centers on Xylo Forbarz. After committing a grave transgression, he is assigned to a unique ‘hero squad’ – a penal unit composed of individuals tasked with confronting the formidable army of the Demon King. A grim twist of fate dictates that any ‘hero’ who falls in battle is promptly resurrected, only to be sent back to the front lines to continue the fight.
