Fans of the acclaimed anime “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” can mark their calendars as the third season has been officially announced for an October 2027 premiere.
The upcoming season will delve into the “Golden Land” arc, which constitutes the seventh major storyline from the original manga created by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe.
At the heart of this new narrative is Macht, a formidable demon and one of the Seven Sages of Destruction who once served the Demon King. Unlike other members of his race, Macht displays a peculiar fascination with humanity and endeavors to comprehend their ways. However, his methods often lead to devastating consequences; in the past, he famously transformed an entire city into gold, a catastrophe that prompted the Continental Magic Association to intervene and seal him away.
Accompanying the announcement, the first key visual for the third season was unveiled, providing an initial glimpse of Macht.
Studio Madhouse will continue to be responsible for the production of the third season. As of now, potential changes to the creative team have not yet been disclosed.
