Drawing lessons from previous installments of the franchise, Playground Games is striving for innovation in Forza Horizon 6.
During a recent announcement dedicated to Forza Horizon 6, the developers introduced a new mechanic called Horizon Rush and showcased its gameplay.
Data analysis from Forza Horizon 5 revealed that players rarely revisit spectacular “showcase events” after completing them once, whether it’s a race against a train or another unusual rival.
Simple variations in weather conditions or time of day failed to provide long-term replayability for these events. This led Playground Games to develop a completely new approach: Horizon Rush.
Initially, Forza Horizon 6 will feature three unique Horizon Rush tracks, which become available as players progress through their career.
Each Horizon Rush track is a dynamic, time-limited obstacle course, where the primary goal is to master the route and continuously improve your speed.
These exciting races can be tackled solo, in cooperative mode with friends, or by competing against other players online. The developers are confident that this system will significantly increase player motivation to return to these events repeatedly.
The official release of Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for May 19, 2026, but owners of the Premium Edition will have the opportunity to dive into the game four days earlier.
