Analysts are reporting significant interest in the extraction shooter, Escape from Tarkov.
Recently, NewZoo analysts presented their overview of the gaming industry, with a particular focus on new projects for 2025.
Last year marked the full release of Escape from Tarkov, which was subsequently included in the “new game” category. Battlestate Games’ extraction shooter proved to be immensely popular among PC players.
According to NewZoo’s data, Escape from Tarkov accounted for approximately 1.7% of the total PC gaming time. This impressive figure highlights its strong engagement within the market.
The game’s performance in this metric allowed it to surpass even more recent releases such as Battlefield 6, which registered 0.8%, and Arc Raiders, at 0.6%. Notably, both of these titles were released prior to the full version of Tarkov.
