A new, enhanced version of the critically acclaimed game, Elden Ring, is confirmed to be in development for the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console, promising better performance.

Initially, the release of Elden Ring on the Nintendo Switch 2 was anticipated for 2025. However, the launch schedule has been adjusted, providing developer FromSoftware with additional time to further optimize the game’s performance and ensure a superior player experience.

Recently, a 9-minute gameplay demonstration surfaced, offering viewers an extensive look at the game running on the new hardware. The footage specifically highlighted exploration within the familiar Limgrave region.

Journalists who had the opportunity to preview this version of Elden Ring reported a “significantly smoother” gameplay experience, suggesting that FromSoftware’s optimization efforts are yielding positive results.
