Elden Ring Dataminer Unveils Cutscene of Miquella’s Haligtree’s Creation

Prominent FromSoftware community dataminer Lance McDonald recently returned to Elden Ring, unearthing a fascinating cutscene that was ultimately cut from the final game. This sequence was originally intended to illustrate the genesis of Miquella’s Haligtree.

For the recording of this cutscene, a dedicated, separate map was created, rather than utilizing the main game world. Intriguingly, blood was depicted as being used as “fertilizer” during the tree’s initial planting, showcasing an early concept for its mysterious origins.

The discovered cutscene features notably simple graphics, leading to the assumption that this idea was likely abandoned by the Elden Ring development team during the early stages of the game’s production.
