Initial images from the alleged set of the film adaptation of the critically acclaimed game Elden Ring have surfaced online, fueling speculation about the start of production. The leaked photos display elaborate decorations reminiscent of the game’s iconic locations and world elements, including a statue of Marika and ancient ruins. Following these leaks, a journalist from World of Reel reportedly confirmed through their sources that principal photography is set to commence as early as next week.
The project is a collaboration between A24 studio and Bandai Namco, with Alex Garland attached as director. Garland is said to have been the driving force behind the adaptation, preparing a detailed script and personally pitching the idea to Hidetaka Miyazaki, ultimately securing his approval for the adaptation.
