Death Stranding 2: Update 1.2 Boosts Performance on Steam Deck and PC

The developers of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach have released Update 1.2, focusing on improving the technical state of the game’s PC version.

A key change is the enhanced performance, particularly noticeable on Steam Deck and systems with limited PCIe bandwidth.

Beyond optimization, the update also includes several fixes and improvements:

  • DualShock 4 triggers now register input without requiring a full press when using Steam Input.
  • Overall stability has been improved, and various crashes have been resolved.
  • Screenshots taken in photo mode with HDR no longer appear washed out.
  • Numerous graphical bugs, as well as input and interface errors, have been fixed.
