Crunchyroll has revealed the full list of nominees for its landmark tenth annual Anime Awards 2026. Winners will be determined by a combined vote from both a panel of judges and enthusiastic fans, with the results to be announced at a grand ceremony in Tokyo on May 23rd.
In the prestigious “Anime of the Year” category, six outstanding projects are vying for the top honor:
- Dandadan Season 2
- Gachiakuta
- My Hero Academia Final Season
- Takopi’s Original Sin
- The Apothecary Diaries Season 2
- The Summer Hikaru Died
The contenders for “Movie of the Year” include these cinematic works:
- Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Infinity Castle Arc
- Hundred Meters
- Mononoke: Chapter II — Ash of Fury
- Scarlet
- The Rose of Versailles
Furthermore, nominees have also been announced across numerous other categories, covering aspects such as Best Original Anime, Best Continuing Series, Best New Series, Best Direction, Best Animation, and Best Voice Acting.
Voting for your favorite nominees is now open on the official Crunchyroll website and will continue until April 15th.
