Crimson Desert appears to be finding its footing and gaining momentum after a somewhat challenging launch on Steam.
Initially, player reception was lukewarm, leading to “Mixed” reviews for the game. However, the situation has dramatically shifted, and the project now proudly boasts a “Mostly Positive” rating.
It turns out that patience has been the key to this growing recognition. An increasing number of users, who initially gave lower scores, are now updating their reviews after spending more hours immersed in the virtual world. A recurring theme in recent feedback is the assertion that Crimson Desert is a slow-burn game, requiring time to truly unfold its potential. While its deliberate pace at the outset might have deterred some, many players acknowledge that the gameplay significantly deepens and improves after several hours of engagement.
As of this report, the game has approximately 71% positive feedback out of a total of 55,000 reviews on Valve’s platform. Despite the overall improvement, some critical feedback persists, with disappointed players describing the world as “empty” or lacking a clear sense of purpose, which has led to refund requests for a portion of the audience.
