Pearl Abyss’s highly anticipated action RPG, Crimson Desert, has received patch 1.02.00, delivering a significant overhaul, particularly for Xbox Series X owners. This update marks a substantial turning point for the game’s visual and performance quality on Microsoft’s console.
The most notable improvement is the introduction of 4K upscaling within the performance mode. Previously, players had to choose between visual clarity and smooth frame rates. Now, the update allows for both, with early reports from players hailing it as a true game-changer, emphasizing a dramatic increase in image crispness and overall visual clarity during dynamic gameplay moments.
The performance mode had previously faced criticism for its somewhat soft and blurry visuals. However, with the new high-detail upscaling, the game world now boasts enhanced depth and intricate details, all while maintaining a consistent 60 frames per second. For the optimal experience and to mitigate rare dips to 45 FPS, a VRR-compatible television is highly recommended.
Additionally, the patch refines FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) technology across all platforms, boosting overall visual quality. It also addresses a persistent V-Sync bug that previously interfered with gameplay after returning from the console’s menu, ensuring a smoother and more consistent experience.
