Back in 2000, game designer Will Wright launched The Sims, a life simulation game that profoundly reshaped the industry and offered players hundreds of hours building virtual homes and lives. Behind this monumental success lies a rich history of experimentation and innovation, which Russian readers will now have the opportunity to discover.

This book offers a unique understanding of how a game, seemingly without concrete goals or strict rules, ascended to global phenomenon status and established new benchmarks for the sandbox genre. The publication includes exclusive materials, interviews with the original creators who were at the inception of The Sims, and a wealth of other engaging information.
