Embark Studios, the developers behind Arc Raiders, continue to tease their upcoming Flashpoint update. This time, they’ve unveiled a formidable new entity known as “The Assessor.”
Described as something far larger than a standard probe, The Assessor appears to be a massive, stationary object. While it doesn’t display any aggression itself, it is heavily protected, with hints of aerial defense. The in-game lore suggests: “Is it some kind of… probe? No, larger. What exactly are the ARC searching for? It seems to stay put, with no signs of aggression… at least, not from the object itself. Celeste calls it the Assessor. It’s well-guarded – keep an eye on the airspace above the treeline.”
Previous teasers for the Flashpoint update have also hinted at the introduction of a new flying robot, which is now strongly implied to be part of The Assessor’s security detail.
The Flashpoint update for Arc Raiders is scheduled for release on March 31, 2026.
