Embark Studios continues to tease details about the upcoming Flashpoint update for Arc Raiders. The game’s roadmap previously promised a “new ARC threat,” which led players to widely anticipate the introduction of a completely new robot enemy.
However, Embark Studios appears to have a different strategy. The developers recently announced that players will now encounter the formidable “Shredder” robots beyond their usual confines on the “Stella Montis” map. They humorously suggested this expanded presence occurred because “Someone forgot to close the Stella Montis doors on their way out…”
This revelation of what many perceive as “old-new” robots has largely failed to impress the player base. Fans are calling for robust updates that feature genuinely new content, expressing that simply changing the conditions for existing map encounters is insufficient.
The Flashpoint update for Arc Raiders is scheduled for release on March 31, 2026.
