Anbernic RG Vita and RG Vita Pro Showcase Slay the Spire 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Balatro

Anbernic has released a new video demonstrating the capabilities of its portable gaming consoles, the RG Vita and RG Vita Pro. The video shows these devices successfully running a range of popular indie games, including anticipated hits like Slay the Spire 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Balatro. This highlights the growing trend of porting games from Steam and other platforms to Android, significantly expanding the library of available titles for portable devices.

Among the other games demonstrated on the RG Vita and RG Vita Pro were Don’t Starve, BlazBlue Entropy Effect, Dead Cells, Dave the Diver, Brotato, Rise: Race The Future, Stardew Valley, Sea Fantasy, Metal Slug Tactics, and Lia: Hacking Destiny.

The RG Vita model features a 5.46-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, powered by a Unisoc Tiger T618 processor and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5, runs on Android 12, and is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery.

The more powerful RG Vita Pro version offers a 5.46-inch IPS display with a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It is powered by an RK3576 processor and a Mali-G52 MC3 GPU, featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This model supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, runs both Android 14 and Linux, and includes a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging capability.

Currently, the Anbernic RG Vita is available starting at $99.99 (without a memory card) and up to $129.99 (with a 128GB SD card). The RG Vita Pro version is priced from $139.99 (without a card) to $169.99 (with a 128GB SD card).
