SynthVoiceRu has released a Russian voiceover for the ambitious game Crimson Desert, developed using artificial intelligence technologies. Although the game initially only offers text translation, many players expressed a desire for full localization.
The SynthVoiceRu team took on this challenge, encountering several significant difficulties. Specifically, inaccuracies were found in the subtitles, their absence in some scenes, a shortage of English audio files, and problems with audio-text desynchronization. The localization team had to spend an immense amount of time on testing and manual adjustment of each line.
They successfully rectified issues with speech acceleration and deceleration, and minimized the intrusion of English words in cinematic cutscenes, though rare audio glitches might still occur. Ultimately, SynthVoiceRu managed to deliver a complete Russian voiceover for Crimson Desert just one week after the game’s release.
