Access Issues for Russian Users to Ubisoft and Electronic Arts Games

In early April, Russian users encountered difficulties accessing several online games, including titles from Ubisoft and Electronic Arts. Players reported problems logging into digital platforms such as Ubisoft Connect and EA App. Specifically, games like Battlefield 6 displayed error codes 1:85009S and 0:85009S, leading to numerous complaints.

While a significant number of these complaints originated from Russian players, similar access issues were also observed among users in other countries. This led to the hypothesis that the outage might have originated on Electronic Arts’ side, especially given that many players subsequently managed to restore their connection to EA servers. However, access difficulties persist with Ubisoft games.

Furthermore, recent reports indicate problems with Steam’s functionality, with outages being recorded not only in Russia but also in several other countries.
